Plot: The Year is 480 BC and the Persian Army has invaded Greece. You must fight back and conquer the Persian Army. While you can work your way up to 300 Spartans you must fight with great Strategy for the Glory and Honor of the Spartans and their ForeFathers!

Game Based On Battle of Thermopylae:
The Battle of Thermopylae was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states, led by King Leonidas of Sparta, and the Persian Empire of Xerxes I over the course of three days, during the second Persian invasion of Greece. It took place simultaneously with the naval battle at Artemisium, in August or September 480 BC, at the narrow coastal pass of Thermopylae (The Hot Gates).

A Greek force of approximately 7,000 men marched north to block the pass in the summer of 480 BC. The Persian army, alleged by the ancient sources to have numbered over one million but today considered to have been much smaller (various figures are given by scholars ranging between about 100,000 and 300,000), arrived at the pass in late August or early September. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held off the Persians for seven days in total (including three of battle), before the rear-guard was annihilated in one of historys most famous last stands.

Pros and cons of 480 BC: Spartans app for iPhone and iPad

480 BC: Spartans app good for

Ive had this game for a while and every time I play it. It makes me feel like a spartan
This a great break from the usual games on the App Store, its historic and fun. I would wish that there were more types of enemies, terrains, or a troop limit.

Some bad moments

Not very fun, its a bit too hard and not very many things to do. But I guess since its free it doesnt hurt to try.
Didnt even get past the tutorial before a bunch of elephants came and destroyed me.
A Greek army would be slaughtered fighting the way depicted here.... Wheres the phalanx formation?
It was oweful I wished if you make the graghic better and I think they were arabs not persians beacuse the persian soldiers were tooooo much stronger
Great game but people if you know your roman history you would learn THAT THE ROMANS DIDNT USE AXES!!!
This truly is a pleasant surprise to the normal apps on the store. It is enjoyable, the use of sword and spear is historically accurate and seemingly endless. It provides a challenge, something uncommon in games nowadays. I was also happy to see the use of historys version of Leonidas and the Brave 300 rather than Zack Snyders. (Although I did love the movies, history speaks to me more than film.) I am glad this game is on the App Store.
